Where Everything Is

A map of the reference docs and skills in the repo, how updates reach you, and when this boilerplate is the wrong choice.

On this page

You have built a feature, sold it and deployed it. This page is the map for everything after.

The reference docs in the repo

  • CLAUDE.md: the rules Claude follows. Read it once yourself; it is 135 lines.
  • docs/ARCHITECTURE.md: how the apps fit together.
  • docs/HELPERS.md: every helper, by module. Check it before writing one.
  • docs/features/: one page per app (accounts, billing, credits, ai, emails, jobs, realtime, panel, analytics, api, security, monitoring, i18n, testing).
  • docs/recipes/: worked examples, like gating an AI feature by credits.
  • docs/deploy/: Coolify, a VPS with Caddy, other Docker hosts, backups, zero-downtime.
  • docs/PROMPT_COOKBOOK.md: tested prompts, with what each one built and what it cost.
  • docs/DECISIONS.md: why things are the way they are.
  • CHANGELOG.md: what changed in each release, and anything you must do.

The skills

.claude/skills/ has 14. Claude loads them when a task needs them, so you rarely name one: new-feature, billing-plans, credits-gating, ai-integration, send-emails, background-tasks, panel-pages, realtime, i18n-rtl, ui-components, analytics-events, testing, deploy, add-payment-gateway.

How updates reach you

Through git: git fetch upstream and git merge upstream/main, after reading the CHANGELOG. Get the Code has the one-time setup and what to do when a translation file conflicts.

When this is the wrong choice

Better to know now than after a week:

  • You need teams or organizations on day one. Here a subscription belongs to one user. Adding teams is real work. A starter that already has them will save you that time.
  • You need an API for a mobile app. There is an API with keys (/api/), but no JWT login for a mobile client.
  • You want a CMS or a blog engine. Not included.
  • You want a React or Next.js front end. This is server-rendered Django with HTMX and Alpine. It is fast to build with, but it is not React.
  • You do not want Django. Then a Django starter is the wrong start, however complete.
  • You already own Vibe Engineering or the Solo Builder bundle. You have this already. Do not buy it twice.

Stop wiring plumbing. Start describing your product.

A Django SaaS starter written for Claude Code: accounts, Stripe billing with credits, an admin panel, jobs, email, AI and a Coolify deploy, finished and tested. You describe the product.
