Using My Website To Send Traffic To My YouTube Channel
Hello guys, I'm new here. Was brought here by Hasan who makes awesome content on YouTube.
This is my website FatalJay.com and my sole purpose of my website is to get traffic to my YouTube videos. Now I know about SEO, but SEO in itself takes to long.
I know there is many ways to get traffic to your website, but what are the top 3 ways to get traffic to your site. I use to get large amount of Pinterest traffic a long time ago for an older site, but it seems like Pinterest is trying to keep traffic on their site now instead of like the old days.
Thanks for your help! 😀
Hello friend, Hasan has on his YouTube channel 2 videos that might help you with that:

Thank you my friend.
When I'm writing an article, of course I link my youtube video in the article, but do I link my website article in the description of my video as well? Would that be considered an backlink?
Yes.
A backlink is simply a hyperlink from one website or web page to another. In this case, your YouTube channel description is on one website (YouTube), and your blog post is on another website (your own site), and the link connects the two, making it a backlink.
Thanks Mentor
@fatal one good way to get a back link to your website is to post your articles on sites like Medium.com. You can enter the link to the original article on the site.
My immediate thought for you on the creation of your website solely to drive the traffic to YouTube was why do that when you could drive your YouTube traffic with various blog platforms. Then my thought was perhaps he has his own blog site but you have to drive traffic to it just to drive traffic to YouTube. Do you understand my conundrum for the puzzle you've created in my mind? Why drive traffic to a site just to drive traffic to a site?

Advisor, because youtube is one of my passions and I have an understanding of websites and seo. When I can't rely solely on youtube traffic, I can rely on my FatalJay.com traffic for my videos. My website will also be a place to sell my merch and affiliate articles as well.
But I really like this video from Hasan, I'm going to focus on this video as well as medium (thanks advisor) to build up the traffic on my site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzgBqLCU2aQ

Also I'm taking you guys advice and using medium and I'm also going to use pinterest. You guys have any other suggestions for another traffic source? I watched Hansan video, but I'm looking for 3 sources of traffic right now to focus on.
@fatal You want 3 sources of traffic other than blog, medium, and pinterest?
@fatal change the Avatar where?
You can have a look at Quora and Reddit for other means to post.
You might consider using LinkTree to have a common place for your personal links and share the LinkTree link in your signature.

Hasan, just a traffic source that easy like pinterest and medium. Yes.
Advisor, I figured out how to change my Avatar lol. I might take a look at Quora. I'm active on Reddit, but I would feel like I'm spamming if I post my videos on the site, unless you guy have a suggestion how to do this without looking spammy.
@fatal create your own subReddit channel then post to it.
