When I'm writing an article, of course I link my youtube video in the article, but do I link my website article in the description of my video as well? Would that be considered an backlink?

My immediate thought for you on the creation of your website solely to drive the traffic to YouTube was why do that when you could drive your YouTube traffic with various blog platforms. Advisor, I figured out how to change my Avatar lol. I might take a look at Quora. I'm active on Reddit, but I would feel like I'm spamming if I post my videos on the site, unless you guy have a suggestion how to do this without looking spammy.
