The Idea💡

Let’s take a simple example: let’s say you are promoting a web hosting service like Kinsta.

Usually, what you do as an affiliate marketer is create content about hosting services like service reviews, comparing Kinsta with other services, maybe YouTube videos, hosting tutorials, etc.

Then, within the content, you will share your affiliate links.

Now, instead of doing that, we will create what we call an “Advisor” where users can get help on the best product in a certain category.

For example, you can create a Hosting Advisor that helps people pick the best hosting service that fits their needs based on a set of questions they will answer.

I know this method is not new; even I have mentioned this within the 5 smart ways to promote affiliate links, but what is new is powering it with AI!

Implement The Strategy

Creating an AI-Powered Affiliate Products Advisor is a forward-thinking approach to affiliate marketing. This strategy, which harnesses the power of artificial intelligence, can significantly enhance the user experience by providing personalized product recommendations.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to implementing this strategy.

Step 1: Choose Your Product Category

The first step involves selecting a specific product category to focus on. This choice should align with your target audience’s interests and your expertise.

This can be digital services like SEO tools, email marketing services, and AI Tools.

For the purpose of our example, I’ve chosen hosting services.

Step 2: Curate a Product List

Next, gather a comprehensive list of 10-15 products within your chosen category.

For each product, get an affiliate link. This list forms the foundation of your Advisor’s recommendations.

Ensure that these products are relevant, high-quality, and have a good reputation.

Step 3: Develop a Comparative Data Table

Create a detailed table that outlines the top features, pros, and cons of each product. This table should be exhaustive and unbiased to ensure that the AI system can make informed recommendations.

Importantly, include a column for your affiliate links in this table. This step is crucial as it feeds the AI with the necessary data to compare and recommend products effectively.

Based on the responses and the data from your table, the AI will determine which products are the best fit for the user. It should then provide the user with the product name, the affiliate link, and an explanation for why it selected that particular product.

The key here is to ensure that the AI’s decision-making process is transparent and user-centric.

For example, I developed the AI chatbot in my case to ask the following questions:
