5 Smart Ways To Promote Affiliate Links

Table of Contents

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to start working online.

But most affiliate marketers are struggling to promote their affiliate links.

I am writing this post to help you with New Smart Tactics to get more traffic and conversions with affiliate marketing.

These methods helped me promote more than 15 affiliate programs and build another stable income stream online. Here are some examples:

Let’s Start!

1- Starter Toolkit.

A starter toolkit is a PDF that lists all tools and resources to achieve specific tasks.

For example: if you want to build a WordPress website, you will need a list of services and tools to do that, like hosting services, plugins to install, essential configuration checklists, and so on.

So you will create a Startet Toolkit! You will be adding all the tools and services with your affiliate links. That’s it!

💡 Tip 1: Use this starter toolkit as a Lead Magnet to grow your email list.

If you want to see an example, you can check this Affiliate Marketing Starter Kit.

How To Create a Starter Toolkit?

  1. Pick a topic.
  2. Collect Tools and Services.
  3. Create the PDF Guide With Canva or Powerpoint.
  4. Add your affiliate links.

💡 Tip 2: Use Short Link Service to track your clicks (eg. Bitly, L-ink.me, or Rebrandly)

2- Freelancing Services

The idea is simple; you can double your revenue by selling a service and an affiliate program simultaneously.

Example:

Let’s say you provide a service where you set up a WordPress website for your clients.

A WordPress website requires a Hosting and Domain and some plugins.

You can make your client buy them through your links.

On my website, I provide a service to install PHP scripts on VPS Servers. Here is what mention in the service description:

Blue links are my affiliate links.

💡 Tip: Add the Requirements section with the links in the service main quesniore.

3- Done For You Templates

This time, you will create a template using software that allows you to share the template through your affiliate links.

Example 1: Clickfunnels

You can create sales funnels, squeeze pages, and templates with click funnels and use the sharing feature to share it through your affiliate link, so when anyone wants to use your template, they will sign up with your link.

Example 2: Systeme.io

Systeme.io is one of the best clickfunnels alternatives that are way cheaper. You can also create sales funnels and templates and share them with anyone through your affiliate link.

💡 Tip 1: publish your templates on Pinterest, it may help you drive some more traffic with pinterset organic search traffic.

💡 Tip 2: Combine with stratgy number 1, and add these templates in your Starter toolkits.

4- Codecanyon Scripts & Documentations

This Tactic is somehow advanced, but it is worth mentioning.

Suppose you are publishing or selling scripts and templates on codecanyon. Make sure to recommend a hosting service with your affiliate links.

💡 Tip : Add a section in your script documentation where you also share your recommended hosting.

5- Tools and Advisors

This is my best Tactic!

You will create Quiz or a Product Advisor, where people will answer some questions, and you will recommend the best product based on their input.

Example: Hosting Advisor: People can know the best hosting service by answering several questions.

An example I created is the Email validation service Advisor, where people can pick the best service based on five questions; here is a screenshot:

How To Create an Affiliate Product Advisor Tool?

There are plenty of free and paid product advisor software options. I’ve tried several, including Thrive’s quiz plugin, My Theme Shop’s quiz plugin, and Opinionstage. I currently use Opinionstage. You can test it for free!

Create Tools

Another approach is to build a simple tool where people search for something, and the tool will recommend results linked with affiliate products.

For example, I created a tool called Fast Domainer, where people can search for available domain names, and all suggestions will be affiliate links.

  1. Thank you for this informative post! I’m new to affiliate marketing and I found your tips to be very helpful. I especially liked the idea of creating a starter toolkit and using it as a lead magnet. I’m going to give that a try and see how it works.
