A while back H-educate had a youtube on how to create your own link shortener with a PHP script from yourls.org

@noox but it's better to remove the stale information to avoid confusion of what has progressed. It's easy enough to create your own URL shortener. You could just add a plugin to do URL forwarding in WordPress. Give it a try.
