      🔴 Beginners collect AI tools.

      🟡 Intermediates use AI tools.

      Experts understand AI tools.

Most people are stuck in the collection phase—downloading every new AI app, hoping for magic, and then feeling disappointed when nothing changes.

I see this pattern daily in my community:

      • Beginners with 50+ AI extensions they never use
      • Intermediates who can prompt ChatGPT but panic when the API changes
      • Experts who know exactly why a model responds the way it does

When I started building SimplerLLM, I could have just used Langchain or other libraries. Instead, I built from scratch.

Not because it was faster (it wasn’t). Not because it was easier (definitely wasn’t). But because building from scratch forces true understanding.

True mastery isn’t about collecting knowledge – it’s about developing deep enough understanding to create your own tools when existing ones don’t meet your needs.

Ask yourself: Are you collecting AI tools like Pokémon cards, or are you developing the skills to build your own?

What’s one AI concept you want to understand at a deeper level this month?
